Connect, don't collect.

It's not about COLLECTING, it's about CONNECTING. 👇🏻⁣

The number of followers you have DOES NOT matter if you are not taking the time to engage and nurture your current relationships.⁣

𝘙𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳. 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴. 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘴.⁣

Even if you had a million followers, if you don't engage with them or they don't feel as though they know you they will never buy what you have to offer. Simple as that.⁣

Nurture your current followers and your garden will grow organically. ⁣

The algorithm favors engagement. When you actively engage by sliding into DMs to spark conversations, comment, and reply, this tells the algorithm that your content and account are of value to others. So, guess what it will do: SUGGEST you to your followers' friends. ⁣

Nothing is more compelling than trust. When you see account suggested that a lot of your online friends are following or engaging with, are you more likely to check them out and possibly click follow? (𝘠𝘦𝘴.)⁣

So, before you start engaging with posts from hashtags you use, engage with YOUR tribe first. Moments like these go a long way.⁣

3 ENGAGEMENT TIPS YOU CAN IMPLEMENT NOW:⁣

1️⃣ Spend 10 minutes on your newsfeed liking and leaving meaningful comments on other people's posts.⁣

2️⃣ Slide into new followers direct messages with a THANK YOU and comment on a connection point you found on their profile. Maybe they love dogs as much as you do. Maybe they're into plants. Maybe they're from the same city. Lead with connection, not business. ⁣

3️⃣ Go to your profile. Tap on Following then tap on Least Interacted with and reconnect with the people/accounts you haven't been engaged with lately and/or weed out the accounts that are no longer active. Keeping them on your list only does you a disservice. ⁣

Now, go out there and make our social world a better place! ⁣
