3 ways to cut through the noise on Facebook

Is your Facebook engagement on the decline?

It isn't you. It's the algorithm, increase in ad buys, and the over saturation of organic content over the past year. I promise.

Here are 3 ways you can cut through the noise on Facebook:

Become someone's Favorite

Did you know Facebook recently released a new tool to help you cut through the noise? She's called "Favorites" and she's about to become your best ally and your audience's new best friend.

What is Favorites?: a new way to control and prioritize posts from the friends and Pages you care about most in your newsfeed.

How does it work?: Select up to 30 friends and Pages to include in Favorites and their posts will appear higher in ranked newsfeed and can also be viewed as a separate filter.

How you make magic: Actively ask your audience to add your page to their Favorites, ensuring your page's content isn't lost in the shuffle.

Jump on the video bandwagon

I've been saying it for a while now, video is increasingly becoming the biggest driver of engagement on all platforms. You don't need to create feature films, create easily digestible snippets:

  • Host a LIVE where you answer questions (from your comments or FAQs)
  • Share how something is made
  • Share a behind the scenes, like a tour of your space or work process
  • Teach your followers something
  • Give people a sneak peek of your new product line
  • Showcase new products

Make your analytics work for you

Facebook provides you with free analytics. Use them. A great way to make your analytics work for you is to figure out the best day and time for you to post on your page. To do this:

  • Go to your Page
  • Select Page Insights
  • Select Posts

This will show you when your audience is most active on Facebook. So, strike while the iron's hot!

You don't have to dump thousands of dollars on ads. Take advantage of all of the free tools these platforms provide. Boosting your content organically simply needs a little creativity.
