3 fun ways to participate in National #SelfieDay

Tomorrow is the most awkward day of the year for my sister introverts across the 🇺🇸. ⁣

Yes, it's National #SelfieDay! 🤳⁣

Self portraiture is as timeless as art itself. And who started it all? None other than that little honey Robert Cornelius, an American chemist and founding father of photography. In 1839, our man Rob had to sit still for 10-15 minutes to create the first ever intentional selfie using the daguerreotype photography method.⁣

Bet you didn't think you'd get a history lesson on selfies today.⁣

Want to participate in tomorrow's historical festivities? ⁣

Here are a 3 fun ways to celebrate this time-honored tradition to give your followers a glimpse into the woman behind the business:⁣

1️⃣ SNAG THAT PHONE & TAKE A SELFIE: Find your light, lift that chin (I always forget this part), and snap away.⁣

2️⃣ FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT: It is also Father's Day and dads almost always have the longest arms - perfect for selfies. Try to fit your fam in one perfect selfie shot. ⁣

3️⃣ FIND THE COOLEST SPOTS IN TOWN: Bathroom selfies are totally passé. Break out of your comfort zone, pop off that sofa, and find one (or a few) really neat places or art murals in your city. You can find truly instagrammable moments if you look for them. Get out there and see what your city has to offer. ⁣

Which will you try? 1, 2, or 3? ⁣
